Is Delta-8-THC legal in Syria?

Legal status
Controlled — delta-8-THC (Δ8-THC) is caught as a tetrahydrocannabinol under the Narcotic Drugs Law No. 2 of 1993, which schedules cannabis and THC; delta-8 is controlled as an isomer of THC. Distinct from cannabis, prohibited (death for cultivation/trafficking/manufacture, Art. 39). The capital reach of a pure delta-8 isomer is left to confirmation.
Consequences if caught
Zero tolerance; cultivation/trafficking/manufacture is death-eligible (Art. 39); users 3–15 years (Art. 43).
If prescribed or medical
No recognised medical use; delta-8-THC is not a prescribable medicine.
Documentation
No lawful personal import of a controlled tetrahydrocannabinol.
