Is Delta-8-THC legal in Libya?

- Controlled — delta-8-THC (Δ8-THC) is caught as a tetrahydrocannabinol under Law No. 7 of 1990 on narcotics and psychotropic substances, which schedules cannabis and THC; delta-8 is controlled as an isomer of THC. Distinct from cannabis, prohibited (death-eligible for aggravated trafficking). The capital reach of a pure delta-8 isomer is left to confirmation.
- Consequences if caught
- Zero tolerance; aggravated trafficking is death-eligible; possession/use carries imprisonment.
- If prescribed or medical
- No recognised medical use; delta-8-THC is not a prescribable medicine.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import of a controlled tetrahydrocannabinol.
