- NOT CONFIRMED from a primary source. The Article 27 capital description previously carried here was sourced to an NGO death-penalty overview, not to the statute. Law No. 50 of 2017 is not carried on UNODC SHERLOC and the Iraqi Ministry of Health portal serves only an authentication gateway.
- If prescribed or medical
- Prescription availability NOT CONFIRMED. Iraq furnished INCB no methadone estimate for 2026. The absence matters clinically: with no recorded licit methadone requirement, opioid substitution treatment cannot be assumed to be available in Iraq at all.
