Is Synthetic Cannabinoids (K2 / Spice) legal in Sweden?
- Legal status
- Controlled as a class. Sweden schedules synthetic cannabinoids by name as narkotika (or, for newer analogues, as goods hazardous to health, halsofarliga varor) with successive listings since 2009, incorporating the synthetic cannabinoids added to Schedule II of the 1971 Convention.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal as narkotika; possession and supply carry imprisonment under the Narcotic Drugs Punishments Act. No death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Sweden.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for narkotika-classified synthetic cannabinoids; do not carry.
