Is Synthetic Cannabinoids (K2 / Spice) legal in Switzerland?

- Controlled as a class. Switzerland lists synthetic cannabinoids by structural/generic definition in the controlled-substances annexes of the BetmVV-EDI under the Narcotics Act (BetmG), with the schedule extended over time by chemical group so that new synthetic-cannabinoid analogues are captured; being non-EU, Switzerland is not bound by EU instruments but applies its own generic legislation.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal under the Betaubungsmittelgesetz; possession, use and trafficking carry BetmG penalties. No death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Switzerland.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for BetmG-controlled synthetic cannabinoids; do not carry.
