Is Adderall legal in Germany?

- Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) has no separate legal identity — it is regulated AS amphetamine: anlage III (prescribable narcotic) of the Betäubungsmittelgesetz (BtMG) — requires a narcotics prescription (BtM-Rezept).
- Consequences if caught
- §29 BtMG: possession fine or up to 5 years; trafficking/large quantities up to 15 years.
- If prescribed or medical
- Available on a BtM-Rezept; Schengen Art. 75 certificate (authenticated by the Land health authority) for up to 30 days' personal supply.
- Documentation
- EU/Schengen travel: carry prescribed narcotics for up to 30 days with an Article 75 Schengen certificate — completed by your doctor and authenticated by the competent Land health authority (one certificate per drug). From outside Schengen: carry a multilingual doctor's certificate authenticated by your home-country health authority. Ordinary (non-narcotic) medicines: up to a 3-month personal supply.
