Is Mephedrone (4-MMC) legal in France?

- Controlled — NAMED (later GENERIC too). Mephedrone was individually classed as a stupéfiant by arrêté of 2 June 2010; France subsequently added a generic cathinone-derivatives definition (2012) that also captures it.
- Consequences if caught
- Stupéfiant: personal use/possession up to 1 year, trafficking up to 10 years plus heavy fines. No death penalty in France.
- If prescribed or medical
- Listed as a stupéfiant with no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No licit personal-carry or import route for a scheduled stupéfiant.
