Legal status
Controlled. MDPV is caught by the derives de cathinone generic definition added to the stupefiants list by arrete of 27 Jul 2012; EU Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/1875 obligated control across France by 2 Oct 2015, and MDPV is a 1971 Convention Schedule II psychotropic.
Consequences if caught
Illegal as a stupefiant; possession, use and trafficking carry Code de la sante publique / Code penal penalties. No death penalty.
If prescribed or medical
MDPV has no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in France.
Documentation
No lawful personal-import route for a controlled stupefiant; do not carry.
