Is MDPV legal in Netherlands?
- Legal status
- Controlled. MDPV was added to the Opiumwet lists following EU Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/1875 (transposed 2016), and it is a 1971 Convention Schedule II psychotropic.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal under the Opiumwet; trafficking prosecuted, possession of a hard-drug NPS subject to seizure and prosecution. No death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- MDPV has no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in the Netherlands.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for an Opiumwet-controlled substance; do not carry.
