Is Kratom legal in Poland?
- Legal status
- Kratom is controlled in Poland — Mitragyna speciosa plant material and mitragynine are both classified as intoxicants in Group I-N under the Counteracting Drug Addiction Act (Ministry of Health regulation of 17 August 2018); possession, trade, import and export are crimes.
- Consequences if caught
- Unlawful possession up to 3 years (Art. 62); trade and import higher — a small own-use amount may exceptionally be discontinued.
- If prescribed or medical
- No lawful medical route — kratom and mitragynine are Group I-N intoxicants with no registered medicinal use in Poland.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for a Group I-N intoxicant.
