Is Ketamine legal in Turkey?

- Controlled psychotropic drug dispensed on the green-prescription (yeşil reçete) system under Turkey's drug-control framework (Law No. 2313 on the Control of Narcotic Drugs; TİTCK oversight).
- Consequences if caught
- Drug offences under the Turkish Penal Code (arts. 188–191) carry heavy penalties — multi-year to 20+ years for trafficking; imprisonment for use or possession.
- If prescribed or medical
- Available as a prescription medicine (green-prescription controlled substance). Carry the original prescription.
- Documentation
- Controlled medicines (opioids — tramadol/codeine/oxycodone/morphine; ADHD stimulants such as Ritalin/Adderall; some sedatives) are high-risk: carry original packaging plus a doctor's letter, check the TİTCK classification, and bring only the minimum quantity needed. Undocumented controlled medicines create criminal exposure. Cannabis seeds are prohibited to import.
