Is Hydrocodone legal in Spain?

- Hydrocodone is an estupefaciente in Lista I under Ley 17/1967 (1961 Convention), dispensed on an official narcotics prescription; it is not marketed in Spain but sits in the same estupefaciente strong-opioid tier as morphine and oxycodone — left to confirmation.
- Consequences if caught
- Personal use or possession is an administrative (public-order) sanction; trafficking is criminal (Código Penal art. 368, roughly 3–6+ years).
- If prescribed or medical
- No marketed Spanish hydrocodone product; an estupefaciente opioid is dispensed only on the official narcotics prescription (receta de estupefacientes).
- Documentation
- Within Schengen carry the Article 75 certificate (AEMPS-issued) for up to a 30-day supply.
