- Hydrocodone is a Narkotika Golongan II substance under Narcotics Law No. 35/2009; though not marketed in Indonesia it is scheduled in the strong-opioid tier alongside morphine, and Golongan II trafficking is death-eligible above 5 g (Arts. 118(2)/119(2)).
- Consequences if caught
- Unauthorised trafficking of a Golongan II narcotic above 5 g is death-eligible (Arts. 118(2)/119(2)); lesser possession or supply draws long imprisonment and fines.
- If prescribed or medical
- No marketed Indonesian hydrocodone product; a Golongan II narcotic is dispensed only under strict narcotic control.
- Documentation
- Declare controlled medicines and confirm import rules with BPOM; carry any prescription in original packaging.
