Is CBD legal in Poland?
- Legal status
- CBD (cannabidiol) is legal as a food supplement or cosmetic where THC does not exceed 0.3% (raised from 0.2% by the 2022 amendment to the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction); cannabis and isolated THC remain controlled.
- Consequences if caught
- Compliant sub-0.3%-THC CBD is lawfully sold, whereas higher-THC material is a controlled drug under the 2005 Act (possession up to 3 years).
- If prescribed or medical
- Medical cannabis (pharmacy-dispensed cannabis raw material, including CBD) has been available on prescription since 1 November 2017.
- Documentation
- Carry documentation showing THC at or below 0.3%; medical cannabis requires a prescription.
