Is Cathinone legal in Indonesia?

Legal status
Controlled — cathinone (katinona; khat's natural principal alkaloid) is a 1971 Convention SCHEDULE I psychotropic and is a Golongan I narcotic under Law 35/2009. Mechanism: 1971 Sch-I transposition, named. As the parent compound it is DISTINCT from the khat PLANT (Catha edulis leaf, not named and caught via its cathinone content) and from the synthetic cathinones (mephedrone etc., scheduled Golongan I by Permenkes) that derive from it; cathinone is the named Golongan-I alkaloid, cathine the milder metabolite (1971 Schedule III). It is CAUGHT BY THE CLASS language for capital exposure: trafficking/manufacture of Golongan I narcotics above statutory quantities (arts. 113-114) carries the death penalty.
Consequences if caught
Golongan I: possession and supply of the alkaloid are offences; large-quantity trafficking/manufacture is capital under arts. 113-114. Extreme risk.
If prescribed or medical
1971 Schedule I / Golongan-I narcotic with no accepted medical use and no lawful prescription route for the isolated alkaloid.
Documentation
No licit personal-carry or import route; trafficking quantities of the alkaloid carry death exposure.
