Morphine is in Tabela I-A of Decreto-Lei 15/93 — dispensed on a special narcotics prescription; personal use is decriminalised (Lei 30/2000) though the drug remains controlled.
Consequences if caught
Personal possession is decriminalised (referred to a Dissuasion Commission); trafficking up to 12 years.
If prescribed or medical
Prescribed as a Tabela I-A narcotic for severe and cancer pain.
Documentation
Within Schengen carry the INFARMED Article 75 certificate for up to 30 days.
