Is Morphine legal in Philippines?

Morphine is a controlled dangerous drug under RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002); the death penalty was abolished for all crimes by RA 9346 (2006), so morphine trafficking carries up to life imprisonment (reclusion perpetua), never death.
Consequences if caught
RA 9165 imposes graduated imprisonment by quantity up to life (reclusion perpetua); the maximum is life, never death, after RA 9346 (2006).

Available on prescription as a controlled dangerous drug for severe and cancer pain.
