Is Methylphenidate legal in Indonesia?

- Psikotropika Golongan II ('Metilfenidat') under the Psychotropics Law No. 5/1997 — legally available by prescription; NOT Narkotika Golongan I (that is amphetamine).
- Consequences if caught
- Illicit dealing is penalised under the Psychotropics Law; no capital exposure (the death penalty applies to Narkotika Golongan I, which methylphenidate is not).
- If prescribed or medical
- Prescription ADHD/narcolepsy medicine (e.g. Ritalin/Concerta) via controlled channels; carry the original prescription and any required import permit.
