Is Methylone legal in Vietnam?

- Controlled — methylone is a scheduled synthetic substance on the narcotics/psychotropics list (Decree 57/2022 and updates; specific entry left to confirmation). The death penalty for drug offences was ABOLISHED effective 1 Jul 2025 (2025 Penal Code amendment) — now life imprisonment maximum.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal; long imprisonment. No longer capital since 1 Jul 2025 (previously drug trafficking was death-eligible).
- If prescribed or medical
- No recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import of a scheduled narcotic.
