Is Etizolam legal in Germany?
- Legal status
- Etizolam is a controlled substance in Anlage III of the Narcotics Act (BtMG) since July 2013; unlike the classic benzodiazepines no etizolam medicine is marketed in Germany.
- Consequences if caught
- Trade or possession without a narcotics prescription: up to 5 years (§29 BtMG).
- If prescribed or medical
- No etizolam medicine is marketed in Germany; there is no ordinary prescription product.
- Documentation
- Carry documentation only for a lawfully prescribed narcotic; no German etizolam product exists.
