Is Adderall legal in France?

- Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) has no separate legal identity — it is regulated AS amphetamine: classé stupéfiant (narcotic) under the Code de la santé publique (art. L.5132-7; Arrêté du 22 février 1990); dispensed on a secure prescription (max 28 days).
- Consequences if caught
- Use/possession up to 1 year + €3,750; trafficking up to 10 years.
- If prescribed or medical
- Available on ordonnance sécurisée; carry a Schengen Art. 75 certificate for personal supply.
- Documentation
- EU/Schengen travel: carry prescribed narcotics/psychotropics with a Schengen certificate. From outside Schengen: carry the original prescription plus an ANSM personal-transport certificate (Attestation de transport personnel de médicaments stupéfiants) where the destination requires it; up to a 3-month personal supply (or the treatment duration). Keep medicines in hand luggage.
