Is Tramadol legal in Pakistan?

- Tramadol is a controlled prescription medicine registered under the Drugs Act 1976 (regulators moving it toward Schedule G), and its listing as a narcotic under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997 is left to confirmation; the 2022/23 amendment removed the death penalty from CNSA s.9 (maximum now life), so no capital tier attaches to tramadol.

- Undocumented carriage or resale is an offence; there is no death tier — the CNSA maximum is life imprisonment.

- Dispensed as a controlled (DRAP-regulated) prescription medicine.
