Synthetic cannabinoids are captured by generic synthetic-cannabinoid groups in the First Schedule to the Misuse of Drugs Act (Class A) - three generic groups were added at paragraphs 20-22 with effect from 1 May 2017, subsuming earlier generic groups and 86 individually listed synthetic cannabinoids, and the schedule was further clarified in 2025. They are below the capital tier: Singapore's capital thresholds (MDA Second Schedule) are named per-drug and no capital quantity is set for synthetic cannabinoids.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal as Class A drugs; supply and trafficking carry imprisonment and caning, but synthetic cannabinoids have no capital threshold and are not death-eligible.
- If prescribed or medical
- These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Singapore.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for Class A controlled synthetic cannabinoids; do not carry.
