Legal status
Controlled as a class. Synthetic cannabinoids are scheduled as narcotics under the Narcotic Drugs Code (Law 4139/2013), with named synthetic cannabinoids added by ministerial decision as they emerged and tracking the 1971 Convention Schedule II additions; this is distinct from cannabis, which Greece treats as a Class B narcotic.
Consequences if caught
Illegal as controlled narcotics; trafficking carries heavy imprisonment under the narcotics code. No death penalty.
If prescribed or medical
These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Greece.
