Is Quetiapine legal in Poland?

- Quetiapine is a registered prescription medicine (lek wydawany z przepisu lekarza, Rp), not a controlled substance: Seroquel and quetiapine generics hold marketing authorisation under Prawo farmaceutyczne and are absent from the schedules of the Ustawa o przeciwdzialaniu narkomanii.
- Consequences if caught
- Quetiapine attracts no anti-drug-abuse-act penalty; unauthorised supply of a prescription medicine is a pharmaceutical-law breach only.
- If prescribed or medical
- Prescribed as an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder; dispensed only on prescription.
- Documentation
- Quetiapine is on the EMA list of nationally authorised quetiapine medicinal products covering Poland; carried lawfully with a prescription.
