- Unauthorised possession draws imprisonment; trafficking or promoting narcotic-table opioids such as morphine (or organised-gang offences) is death-eligible.

- Available on prescription as a controlled narcotic for severe and cancer pain under strict records.
- Documentation
- TRAVELLER TRAP — MOHAP prior import approval is required for controlled narcotics even with a prescription; carry an attested prescription and original packaging.
