Is MDPV legal in Portugal?
- Legal status
- Controlled. MDPV is listed by name via new-psychoactive-substance control (Decreto-Lei 54/2013) and the psychotropic tables; control is reinforced by EU Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/1875.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal; personal use and possession are decriminalised (referral to a dissuasion commission), but trafficking is prosecuted with imprisonment. No death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- MDPV has no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Portugal.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for a controlled NPS; do not carry.
