- Controlled — MDA is classed as a stupefiant (1971 Convention Schedule I transposed into the French narcotics list), within the methylenedioxyamphetamine group. NAMED mechanism.
- Consequences if caught
- Stupefiant: trafficking up to 30 years (Code penal art. 222-34 et seq.); use and possession also criminal.
- If prescribed or medical
- Listed narcotic with no recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No personal-import route; importation prosecuted as trafficking.
