Is MDA legal in China?

- Controlled — MDA is a listed controlled psychotropic in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Catalogue (all 1971 Schedule I substances controlled). NAMED mechanism. CAPITAL by catch-all: Criminal Law art. 347 permits death for trafficking large quantities of 'other drugs' — MDA can reach capital exposure in aggravated large-scale cases, with no fixed MDA weight threshold (court-determined).

- Trafficking severe (long prison to death); large-scale ATS cases can be capital under art. 347.
- If prescribed or medical
- Scheduled psychotropic with no recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import; large-scale trafficking is death-eligible.
