- 25I-NBOMe is controlled in China: the NBOMe phenethylamines were placed on the supplementary list of controlled narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for non-medical use effective 1 October 2015, and China, a 1971 party, is bound by the March 2015 Schedule I listing of 25I-NBOMe.

- Production, trafficking, transport and possession are offences under the Criminal Law; serious trafficking can attract the death penalty.

- No approved medical use; not available on prescription.
