Is 2C-I legal in China?
- Legal status
- 2C-I is a controlled substance in China, named in Annex 2 of the supplementary list of controlled narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances announced by the China Food and Drug Administration on 11 November 2013 and in force since 1 January 2014.
- Consequences if caught
- Manufacture, trafficking and possession are prosecuted under the Criminal Law and narcotics-control rules; large-quantity trafficking can carry the death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- Classed among non-medical controlled substances with no approved therapeutic use.
