Is Hydrocodone legal in Jordan?

- Hydrocodone is a controlled narcotic scheduled under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 23 of 2016; it is not marketed in Jordan. Ordinary opioid trafficking is life imprisonment, NOT death — capital is reserved narrowly for collaborating with international trafficking gangs, so hydrocodone is not death-eligible by its schedule.

- Trafficking draws up to life imprisonment; prescribed or personal use is non-capital.
- If prescribed or medical
- No marketed Jordanian hydrocodone product; a controlled narcotic is dispensed only under prescription.
- Documentation
- JFDA prior approval is required to import narcotic medicines; carry a prescription and documentation.
