Legal status
DOM (STP) is classified as a stupefiant (narcotic) under the Arrete du 22 fevrier 1990 fixing the list of narcotic substances (listed as STP / DOM), France's transposition of DOM's individual Schedule I listing under the 1971 UN Convention.
Consequences if caught
Use is an offence under Art. L.3421-1 of the Public Health Code (up to 1 year); trafficking under Art. 222-37 of the Penal Code up to 10 years and a EUR 7.5m fine.
If prescribed or medical
Listed narcotic with no marketing authorisation and no accepted medical use; not available on prescription.
