Distinct from cannabis, a dangerous drug under RA 9165. Death penalty ABOLISHED (RA 9346, 2006).

- Illegal; trafficking is life imprisonment and heavy fines (non-capital since RA 9346, 2006).

- No recognised medical use; delta-8-THC is not a prescribable medicine.
