Is Delta-8-THC legal in Brazil?

Legal status
Controlled — delta-8-THC (Δ8-THC) is caught as a tetrahydrocannabinol under Portaria SVS/MS 344/1998 (ANVISA), whose proscribed lists cover THC and its isomers; delta-8 is controlled as an isomer of THC. Distinct from cannabis, whose personal use is non-custodial (Art. 28) with STF-set thresholds, and from regulated medical-cannabis products. No death penalty.
Consequences if caught
Illegal; trafficking heavily punished, while personal use is diverted to non-custodial measures under Law 11.343/2006.
If prescribed or medical
No recognised medical use; delta-8-THC is not an authorised prescription cannabinoid.
Documentation
No lawful personal import of a proscribed tetrahydrocannabinol.
