Is Synthetic Cannabinoids (K2 / Spice) legal in Brazil?
- Legal status
- Controlled as a class. Synthetic cannabinoids are proscribed on Lista F2 (proscribed psychotropics) of ANVISA Portaria SVS/MS 344/1998, which since 2014 carries a generic class entry for synthetic cannabinoids by chemical structure plus named compounds, so new analogues are captured.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal as Lista F2 substances; trafficking carries heavy imprisonment, personal use diverted to non-custodial measures. No death penalty.
- If prescribed or medical
- These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Brazil (Lista F2 is a proscribed list).
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for Lista F2 proscribed synthetic cannabinoids; do not carry.
