- Prescribed for opioid substitution (buprenorphine/naloxone) via specialist clinics and Level 1/2 GPs — supervised, then take-home.

- Ireland is outside the Schengen certificate scheme for this purpose — carry a multilingual doctor's certificate and prescription (HPRA guidance) for personal supply in original packaging.
