Is Synthetic Cannabinoids (K2 / Spice) legal in Bangladesh?

- Controlled. Synthetic cannabinoids fall under the Narcotics Control Act 2018, which schedules controlled substances and incorporates the synthetic cannabinoids added to Schedule II of the 1971 Convention (Bangladesh being a party). This class is not a capital offence in Bangladesh - the Act reserves its severest terms for specified narcotics by quantity, carrying imprisonment rather than death for synthetic cannabinoids.
- Consequences if caught
- Illegal; possession and trafficking carry imprisonment (6 months to life by quantity) under the Narcotics Control Act 2018. Not a capital offence for this class.
- If prescribed or medical
- These synthetic cannabinoids have no recognised medical use and no lawful prescription route in Bangladesh.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal-import route for controlled synthetic cannabinoids; do not carry.
