Is Scopolamine (Devil's Breath) legal in Poland?

Confirmed against a primary sourceVerified July 14, 2026
Legal status
Skopolamina (hyoscine) is a registered prescription/pharmacy medicine, not a controlled substance: hioscyna and butylobromek products are entered in the URPL Rejestr Produktów Leczniczych under Prawo farmaceutyczne and are absent from the schedules of the Ustawa o przeciwdziałaniu narkomanii.
Consequences if caught
Skopolamina attracts no anti-drug-abuse-act penalty; unauthorised supply of a prescription medicine is a pharmaceutical-law breach only.

Scopolamine (premedication, motion sickness) is prescribed; butylobromek hioscyny (Buscopan) is dispensed for spasm.
Documentation
Buscopan and scopolamine products are entered in the URPL Register of Medicinal Products; carried lawfully.
