Is Pregabalin legal in Taiwan?

- Pregabalin is a prescription medicine in Taiwan and is NOT scheduled under the Controlled Drugs Hazard Prevention Act — so, although Taiwan retains capital penalties for Category-1 narcotics, pregabalin sits outside every controlled schedule and is dispensed as an ordinary prescription medicine, like gabapentin.

- Unauthorised supply is a medicines-law offence; pregabalin is not in any controlled-drug schedule and is not death-eligible.
- If prescribed or medical
- Dispensed as a prescription-only medicine.
- Documentation
- Carry a prescription and original packaging for personal use; import beyond personal need requires authorisation.
