Is Morphine legal in Egypt?

Legal status
Morphine is a Schedule 1 narcotic under Anti-Narcotics Law No. 182/1960 (as amended by Law 122/1989) and is death-eligible: producing, manufacturing, importing or trafficking narcotic-table substances such as morphine with trafficking intent carries the death penalty plus a heavy fine; no per-gram floor is published.
Consequences if caught
Unauthorised possession draws imprisonment and fines; producing, importing or trafficking morphine with intent is death-eligible under Law 182/1960.
If prescribed or medical
Available on prescription as a Schedule 1 narcotic for severe and cancer pain under strict records.

TRAVELLER TRAP — prior Ministry of Health approval is required to import controlled narcotics; carry a prescription and original packaging (the 1960 law applies equally to foreigners).
