Is Methylone legal in China?

- Controlled — methylone was placed under control effective 1 Jan 2014 (NNCC/FDA NPS addition), individually NAMED in the Catalogue of Controlled Non-medical Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances; this diverges from China's 2010 mephedrone control. Capital exposure runs via the Art. 347 'large quantity' catch-all, but the capital threshold for methylone is left to confirmation.
- Consequences if caught
- Zero tolerance. Art. 347 large-quantity trafficking can be capital and reaches scheduled psychotropics, but no methylone-specific capital-conversion quantity is published (threshold left to confirmation); China executes for methamphetamine-type trafficking.
- If prescribed or medical
- No recognised medical use; non-medical catalogue listing — no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import; large-quantity trafficking can be capital.
