Is Methamphetamine legal in Indonesia?

- Amphetamine and methamphetamine are reclassified as Category 1 narcotics — illegal even for medical use. Possession (e.g. Adderall) carries a minimum of 4 years' imprisonment and import a minimum of 5 years. Group I narcotics have no therapeutic use and are fully prohibited. Producing, importing, transferring, or selling more than 1 kg of cannabis or 5 g of methamphetamine/heroin can carry the death penalty (Art. 113). Possession of even small amounts of a Group I substance is punishable by 4–12 years' imprisonment.

- No medical/prescription pathway — illegal even medically; a foreign prescription is not a defence.
