- Controlled — MDA is caught by the amphetamine-type-stimulant / 'other psychotropic substances' class language of the Narcotics Law / Penal Code art. 146 (not separately named). CLASS mechanism. CAPITAL: art. 146 makes trafficking of ATS/ecstasy/'other psychotropic substances' above 3 kg death-eligible (500 g to 3 kg = life).

- ATS/ecstasy class over 3 kg = death-eligible; over 0.3 g criminal.
- If prescribed or medical
- Prohibited psychotropic with no recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import; large trafficking amounts are death-eligible.
