Is MDA legal in Kuwait?

Kuwait's governing statute is now Amiri Decree-Law No. 59 of 2025, which by Article 83 repealed Law No. 74 of 1983 - the law this cell previously cited - and Law No. 48 of 1987, merging both into one 84-article framework. The decree's substance schedules are not published in the available account, so MDA's schedule entry is left to confirmation.
- Consequences if caught
- Chapter Nine of Decree-Law 59/2025 provides the death penalty or life imprisonment plus fines of KD 100,000 to KD 2 million for trafficking, production or cultivation intended for trafficking, and makes organising an international drug-trafficking operation punishable by death outright, with participation drawing life. Capital exposure is by trafficking determination; no gram threshold is published.
- If prescribed or medical
- No lawful prescription route. MDA is a Schedule I substance under the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances - the schedule reserved for substances with no recognised medical use - and no country anywhere furnished INCB an MDA assessment for 2026, while the closely related MDMA and MDPV each appear dozens of times in the same return. There is no licit MDA supply to prescribe from.
