Is MDA legal in Jordan?

Confirmed against a primary sourceVerified August 25, 2026
Legal status
Controlled. MDA is a 1971 Convention Schedule I substance and Jordan is a party. The domestic statute is the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 23 of 2016; Jordan's legislation bureau, Food and Drug Administration and Ministry of Health hosts were all unreachable during this pass, so MDA's schedule entry is left to confirmation.
Consequences if caught
NOT CONFIRMED from a primary source. The aggravated-trafficking capital description previously carried here rested on an NGO overview rather than Law No. 23 of 2016, and is withdrawn.
If prescribed or medical
No lawful prescription route. MDA is a Schedule I substance under the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances - the schedule reserved for substances with no recognised medical use - and no country anywhere furnished INCB an MDA assessment for 2026, while the closely related MDMA and MDPV each appear dozens of times in the same return. There is no licit MDA supply to prescribe from.
Documentation
No lawful personal import.
