Is MDA legal in Iran?

- Controlled — MDA is caught by the amphetamine/'industrial psychotropic drugs' class language of the 2017 Anti-Narcotics Law amendment (which names MDMA/amphetamines). CLASS mechanism. CAPITAL caught-by-class: synthetic/ATS drugs at or above 2 kg are death-eligible when combined with aggravating factors (ringleader, armed, prior sentence, use of minors).

- Trafficking death-eligible above threshold plus aggravators; otherwise long imprisonment.
- If prescribed or medical
- Prohibited psychotropic with no recognised medical use; no lawful prescription route.
- Documentation
- No lawful personal import; trafficking death-eligible above threshold.
