Is Etizolam legal in Vietnam?
- Legal status
- Etizolam is a controlled List III psychotropic in Vietnam (via Decree 60/2020, carried into Decree 57/2022 and the current Decree 28/2026/NĐ-CP).
- Consequences if caught
- Unlawful possession is punished by quantity under Penal Code Art. 249. Vietnam abolished the death penalty for all drug offences on 1 July 2025 — etizolam is not death-eligible.
- If prescribed or medical
- Controlled as a List III psychotropic on a special-control prescription.
- Documentation
- Declare controlled medicines and carry a prescription in original packaging.
