Legal status
Etizolam is a LICENSED prescription medicine in Italy (marketed as Depas and Pasaden) AND controlled — in the 'Tabella dei medicinali', Sezione B, under DPR 309/90. Italy is one of only about three countries where etizolam is a genuinely authorised, marketed medicine (alongside Japan and India).
Consequences if caught
Illicit supply is a prescription-medicine offence; trafficking falls under DPR 309/90.
If prescribed or medical
Prescribed and dispensed as an authorised Sezione B medicine (Depas/Pasaden).
Documentation
As a licensed Sezione B medicine, carry it in original packaging with your prescription; within Schengen carry the Article 75 certificate.
