Legal status
DOM (STP) is a Class A controlled drug in Schedule 1 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 (listed as STP/DOM), New Zealand's transposition of DOM's individual Schedule I listing under the 1971 UN Convention.
Consequences if caught
Possession is an offence under s.7 (up to 6 months; police discretion since 2019); supply or manufacture up to life imprisonment under s.6.
If prescribed or medical
Class A: no recognised medical use; not prescribable.
